Hello again, world.

I’ve been wanting to make a blog, over and over, and it never came to fruition. I guess this is hello again.

Ever since switching from a lead to individual contributor role again, I find myself having a lot of time to spare. I wanted to do graduate school (which I did enroll last year), and this year I want to do tech and research projects on the side. It’s not like I expect any sort of consistency anyway. It’s been around 4 years since I last attempted to do a side project, and I’ve already thought my passion is dead. Or is it?

I suppose it all started when I fixed my PC (after years of forgetting its existence and only using a MacBook all this time). I didn’t realize how much I missed playing PC games (I played games on the console, if I play at all), and how much I missed creating little tech projects for fun. It’s as if I felt some sense of freedom and nostalgia or something.

Also, I miss Linux. It’s been a long, long while.

I’m not even entirely sure what I’ll be creating, some days I start a project and never finish because of how boring or limited it gets. Some ideas come to mind though, like building a kernel, or a custom browser, or exploring some code obfuscation techniques. Time will tell what I’ll create, if any.
